Nursery: Big reveal!

Posted By : Mrs. F

I finally managed to take pictures of the nursery. Although it’s not entirely finished yet (some bits and bobs here and there) but I’ve been promising pictures since I posted the moodboard Here, and I don’t want to delay it any further. Because as anyone who knows me knows that my interior projects never actually end lol! I always seem to find something that needs to be changed or fixed. So anyway, back to the nursery! Like I mentioned in my earlier post I wanted a design that can grow with my daughter so I decided from the very beginning to go for neutral colors as the base. I chose dark mocha paint for the walls, and added a metallic gold/beige wallpaper to the back wall as a focal point. I kept the carpet and drapes white, to brighten up the room…
To add a punch of color I chose fun brightly colored accessories, but stuck to my pink/green color palette.
I hate the look of a wall of closets! So I decided to have a carpenter make hidden ones which were painted the same color as the walls .
To add a whimsical touch to the wallpaper, I sporadically glued on flower appliques.
I did not want to obstruct the room’s view so I went for a day bed rather than a couch. I chose a plain one from Ikea then bought a fun striped slipcover from Bemz
Again I really wanted to have fun with color when choosing accessories so I went for this retro green lamp from Midas and a green moroccan pouf I bought from Amazon (delivery charges were horrendous!).
So there you have it! My baby girl’s nursery :)

Masha2 Allah la elaha ella Allah tabaraka el ra7man you have a great eye for decor! I appreciate beautiful items and I know it must have taken a lot of effort and thought for your to finish up the nursery. You did an excellent job indeed!

I would love to put things together that work but I always end up with a mess! The current state of my living room plus the other half's unnecessary input do wreck things up too :p

Love love love it! Quick questions though: would you still recommend white carpetting after having ur child crawl? If so which carpeter did you use? Also where did you get the rocking chair from?

Thank you Maha :) Yes I still do recommend white carpeting, I just love the way it looks! As for spills and other mishaps, there’s nothing that a carpet stain remover can’t clear. I used Bo khamseen but to be honest I really don’t like the quality of their carpets and if I could go back I would have chosen another company. The rocking chair is from PB kids. Hope this helps! and sorry for the late reply
