I really wanted to keep this little gem to myself, but Cocomaya is just too good not to share! On my last trip to london I stumbled upon this charming cafe, and it quickly became one of my top favorite cafes in London.
"Cocomaya Fine Chocolatier & Artisan Baker is the brainchild of three of the biggest players in the fashion industry in the past 10 years: Joel Bernstein, former head of concept at Liberty of London, Walid al Damirji, accessories designer and fashion consultant and Serena Rees, founder of Agent Provocateur. All three founders share a love of fine chocolate and fabulous baking so have decided to dedicate their time to creating one of London's hippest hangouts attracting a diverse clientele. "
Tucked away in Connaught Street, a stone's throw away from Marble Arch, Cocomaya is the go to place for the finest chocolate, cakes and breads available in London. The bakery, which just recently opened in 2009 following the success of the chocolate shop, has already gathered a huge following (myself included). They pride themselves in using only the best ingredients, many organic, to create more than 70 kinds of bread and pastry as well as seasonal salads, organic granola & yoghurt with Cocomaya honey, canapes, and an extensive selection of delicious sandwiches.
